November 13, 2024: La inteligencia artificial en la Ciencia de MaterIAles

AID4GREENEST researcher, Prof. Ignacio Romero from IMDEA Materials Institute and the Technical University of Madrid, has discussed the present and future of artificial intelligence in research as part of a roundtable being organised by the Universidad Nebrija.

As part of his presentation, Prof. Romero highlighted IMDEA Materials’ ongoing work into the development of AI-based models and characterisation tools for the steel sector, research being carried out as part of the AID4GREENEST project.

October 24, 2024: Computer Vision Insights from the Development of MicrostructureDB

Catharina Jaeken from AID4GREENEST and ePotentia was one of the featured speakers at October’s ‘Joint Workshop on Advanced in Characterisation Methods and Computational Modelling’ organised by the by EMMC ASBL – European Materials Modelling Council , as well as our sister project MatCHMaker – HorizonEU.

October 1, 2024: Mean-Field simulation of microstructure evolution during forging using FORGE and DynamiX GUI
AID4GREENEST researcher Dr. Lukas Kertsch from Franhofer IWM, has presented on Mean-Field simulation of microstructure evolution during forging using FORGE and DynamiX GUI at the Transvalor International Simulation Days in France. 
 
Dr. Kertsch was one member of the Fraunhofer IWM team behind the research showcased in the presentations, alongside Drs. Maxim Zapara and Dirk Helm.
