The research team at the University of Oulu has developed an innovative set-up for the physical simulation of the quenching process of meter-scale products.

This system allows sub-size prototypes to undergo quenching in various cooling media, with precise control of the cooling media flow thanks to an integrated motor.

Additionally, the local temperature of the prototypes can be accurately recorded using welded thermocouples. This set-up has been applied for the physical simulation of turbine shafts developed by ReinosaF&C.
