On April 7th, Yoav Nahshon of Fraunhofer IWM, representing the AID4GREENEST Project, took part in the MatCHMaker – HorizonEU Workshop on Data Life Cycles in Materials Modelling and Characterisation, held at the Vienna University of Technology.

During the event, Yoav delivered a presentation titled “Interoperable CHADA: A semantic approach for managing and exploiting characterisation data and protocols.”

His talk introduced the CHADA (CHAracterisation DAta) app and workflow currently being developed within AID4GREENEST. This tool aims to enhance structure, interoperability, and usability in the management of characterisation data across complex materials research and development workflows.

The workshop was hosted by AID4GREENEST’s sister project, MatCHMaker, and co-organised by the European Materials Modelling Council. It featured a range of insightful contributions from other EU-funded initiatives, including, AddMorePower, CoBRAIN, Knowskite-X and D-STANDART.

The sessions addressed key topics such as pain points and bottlenecks in data life cycles, transferability of workflows and best practices and real-world impact on industrial partners and materials innovation.

Our sincere thanks go to the organisers and all participating projects for their valuable contributions to the discussion.
